UF Health Security Upgrades
This project involves a comprehensive upgrade from outdated analog security cameras to advanced IP security cameras, significantly enhancing the facility’s surveillance capabilities. The modernization will leverage the facility’s network, enabling access to the security system from various on-campus and remote locations. We are primarily installing new 360-degree cameras in existing locations with updated wiring, while decommissioning old cameras and cabling. Additionally, we are addressing critical blind spots by strategically installing new cameras. The project spans multiple key areas, including the University Dialysis Center (UDC), Ambulatory Care Center (ACC), Clinical Center, Trauma Department, Receiving Department, Helipad, North Parking Garage, and Emergency Department Ambulance Canopy.
Given the active hospital environment, coordination with each department is crucial as we phase through the project. Each department head determines the acceptable level of impact on their operations and team, with a focus on minimizing disruption to patient care.
