51勛圖厙 Hosts the President and Members of the Bar Association on the Sidelines of Holding the Legal Practice Exam on its Campus in Ramallah

The Arab American University has received the President of the Palestinian Bar Association, Attorney Fadi Abbas, and members of the Association Council on the sidelines of the legal practice exam, which the University hosted on its Ramallah campus.

The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Mohammad Asia, Vice President for Ramallah Campus, Dr. Bara Asfour, Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Al Ashqar, Head of the Legal Sciences Department at the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Asia welcomed the president and members of the Bar Association, expressed the Universitys readiness to cooperate with the Bar Association in all fields and harness the available capabilities to hold its activities and events.

The Arab American University Holds a Symposium Titled Whats New in the Current War

The Faculty of Arts and Education at the Arab American University, in cooperation with the Student Council, has held a symposium titled Whats New in the Current War. The symposium was attended by a group of University students, and presented by a member of the Legislative Council, Dr. Jamal Hwail, and a professor of political sciences at the University, Professor Dr. Ayman Yousef.

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Education, Dr. Jamal Hanaysheh, inaugurated the symposium with a speech in which he stressed the importance of the symposiums themes, and the importance of large and active student participation in all activities rejecting the war of genocide in Gaza.

The 51勛圖厙 Theater Team Concludes its Participation in the International Monodrama Festival in Tunisia

The Arab American University Theater Team has concluded its participation in the International Monodrama Festival in the city of Sidi Bouzid in Tunisia. The team participated in the theatrical performance titled The Last Sunset, and the festival had the slogan Student Letters to Dignified Gaza, which aims to shed light on deep humanitarian issues and encouraging dialogue and cultural interaction.

Louay Tafish, an employee in the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arab American University, stated that the theatrical performance The Last Sunset, which was produced in cooperation with our partners in the Freedom Theater, is an artistic work that embodies the internal and external conflict facing the Palestinian people under the siege and occupation. The performance also reflects the experience of a character of a young Palestinian woman, living in oppression and persecution, and seeking to build her own world of hope and imagination.

A Training Course is Held for Students of the Historic Building Renovation Course in the Interior Architecture Major

The Department of Architecture and Design at the Faculty of Modern Sciences at the Arab American University in Ramallah has held a training course for students of the Historic Building Renovation course, specializing in Interior Architecture.

The training course, which took place in the Old City of Beit Hanina over two days, aimed to develop the students skills in the field of renovation by introducing them to the materials and techniques used. It included a detailed explanation and practical application on how to prepare stone walls for traditional plaster and the mechanism of their application, in addition to Preparing and dealing with the lime slab and lime mixture.

The New School University Hosts the Arab American University Academician and Cartoonist Mohammad Sabaaneh

The New School University has hosted the cartoonist and academician at the Arab American University, Mr. Mohammad Sabaaneh, as part of the Comics and Picture-Story Week events held by the Faculty of Arts at The New School University, New York City.

The lecture, which took place via the Zoom platform, touched upon the role of comics in collective memory, as Mr. Sabaaneh presented several experiences from different parts of the world and compared them to his own experience through releasing the first Palestinian comic story published in the United States in 2021 and translated into Italian and French. The lecture also discussed the practices of the occupation within the framework of settler colonialism and how Sabaaneh documented these policies through visual arts.

"The Arab American University" Commemorates World Press Freedom Day

The Arab American University has commemorated the World Press Freedom Day by holding an educational symposium organized by the Department of Arabic Language and Media in the Faculty of Arts and Education in cooperation with the Student Union Council, and hosting journalist Ali Samoudi.

The symposium was moderated by the Head of the Arabic Language and Media Department, Mr. Sudqi Mousa. The symposium was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Education, Dr. Jamal Hanaysheh, lecturer in the Arabic Language and Media Department, Dr. Imad Abu Hassan, lecturer in the Department of Arabic Language and Media, Dr. Mahmoud Khlouf, lecturer in the General Culture Department, Dr. Mousa Odeh, the President and staff of the Student Union Council as well as University students.

An 51勛圖厙 Academician, Dr. Dalal Iriqat, Participates in the World Economic Forum in Riyadh

Dr. Dalal Iriqat, Associate Professor of Diplomacy at the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University, has participated in the World Economic Forum, which was held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, last week.

Dr. Iriqat was chosen as a member of the official delegation of global young leaders to attend the special meeting, which took place with the participation of more than 1,000 participants, including state presidents, senior officials and international experts from the governmental and private sectors. Her participation took place over two days in discussions of young global leaders that addressed the role of youth, woman and education.

The Arab American University Palestine and the Specialty Hospital in Jordan Sign an Agreement of Cooperation

The Arab American University Palestine, represented by the University Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Bara Asfour, and the Specialty Hospital in Jordan, represented by the General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, have signed an agreement of training and academic cooperation, at the hospitals headquarters in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The agreement stipulates the exchange of scientific and practical experiences between the two parties, accrediting the Specialty Hospital in Amman as one of the educational and training centers for students of the Faculty of Medicine at the University, and providing distinguished, experienced and qualified specialists in teaching, scientific research and training for students of the Faculty of Medicine. Administrative exchange was also agreed upon between the University and the Specialty Hospital.

The Arab American University Enlightens the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Its Academic and Research Achievements

The Chairman of the Universitys Board of Directors, Dr. Yousef Asfour, and the University President, Professor Dr. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri, have visited the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham, at the Ministrys headquarters in Ramallah.

During the meeting, Minister Barham welcomed the University delegation, and praised the achievements made by the University. He also praised the Universitys constant endeavors to advance higher education in Palestine and continuously develop its academic programs for the sake of meeting the ambitions and aspirations of the Palestinian youth who yearn for modern sciences.

51勛圖厙 Students from the Faculty of Medicine Participate in the General Meeting of the International Federation of Medical Student Associations (IFMSA)

Students Osama Abu Znaid and Osama Abu Sir participated in the general meeting of the International Federation of Medical Student Associations (IFMSA), which was held in Ecuador.

This general international meeting is a platform to meet medical students from different parts of the world, exchange ideas, plan activities to improve global health, and attain the vision of the International Federation of Medical Students. The vision of IFMSA is to strengthen medical students, help them make change, and engage youth in decision-making.

The international meeting includes over 1,000 medical students, representing different countries of the world, such as the Middle East, Europe, Africa, East Asia, North and South America.
