Sustainable Features

This warehouse includes a 92,000 square-foot minus-10-degree freezer; 20,000 square-foot convertible room (with temperatures ranging from minus 20 to plus 35 depending on the product); 4,000 square-foot ice cream room; 15,000 square-foot meat freezer; 31,000 square-foot dairy / deli cooler; and 15,000 square-foot produce area.

The facility also includes 46,000 square feet of dock space, 13,000 square feet of support and utility areas, and 24,000 square feet of office and welfare areas.

Several sustainable features were incorporated into the facility, including 100-percent storm-water retention (all storm water is absorbed into the ground on the property), a white roof to reflect heat, a state-of-the-art energy-efficient refrigeration system, and a control system that manages utility-load consumption.
